Crocodile dinosaur

Suchomimus, means "Crocodile mimic" is a genus of spinosaurid that lived in Egypt,Africa during early cretaceous period."It was a dinosaur trying hard to be a crocodile," says paleontologist Paul Sereno after he discovered a Suchomimus tenerensis during an expedition to Africa. It had a long snout filled with teeth that seem designed to catch fish. Long, powerful arms ended in three-fingered hands with huge claws, which would have been useful for holding on to large gar fish, which may have made up part of its diet. It probably would swim after fish or catch them on land similar to a grizzly bear and then kill it using its massive arms.Suchomimus lived 105 million years ago and this skeleton is the most complete in existence of any of the spinosaur family of dinosaurs.

Not only did Edmontosaurus have a lot of teeth, but when one fell out, another from inside its jaw would take its place! Teeth like these are called "evergrowing".This dinosaur is the first dinosaur that the fossil is mummified when it's discovered and revealing it's skin! Edmontosaurus could not outrun any of the meat-eaters and had to rely on outmaneuvering them - like a crafty football player - and traveling in large herds, where there was safety in numbers,plus it can swim becaused of the mummified fossil.

Dimorphodon,means "Two toothed form" is a genus of pterosaur that lived in europe during Jurassic period.Dimorphodon is unique among pterosaurs because it has two types of teeth like that of a mammal.It skull are small,so it diet are small fish,lizard and insects.

Eoraptor,means "Dawn thief" is the earliset dinosaur that lived during Triassic period.Also,this is the first dinosaur that walk the earth.Eoraptor had the characteristics of later dinosaurs - serrated teeth, grasping hands (although there is some speculation that it occasionally walked using all four limbs), light hollow bones and a strong, light skull.

Elasmosaurus,means "Thin plate lizard" is a genus of plesiosaur that lived during late cretaceous period. Like many plesiosaurs, had a small head at the end of a long neck and a mouth full of needle-like teeth. It could swim into schools of fish, moving its head back and forth to catch them. Elasmosaurus neck was so long it couldn't lift more than it's head above water.

Triceratops,means "Three horned face" is the largest ceratopsian that lived in North America during late cretaceous.Triceratops live with herd to protect themselves from a predator like T.rex and using it's horns as a last resort.Triceratops skull can grow until 7 meters and like most ceratopsian,it can swim.Triceratops is one of the most popular dinosaurs, and has been featured in film, postal stamps, and many other types of media.

Ichthyosaurus, means "Fish lizard" is a genus of marine reptile that live during jurassic period.It lives with group and gave birth to live young like a modern dolphin.Interestingly,the fossil of ichthyosaurus was founded by Mary Anning,the first female paleontologist.Unfortunately,most ichthyosaur species has extinct in the cretaceous period because their territory has driven by sharks.

Carnotaurus,means "Meat eating bull" is a genus of abelisaurid that lives in South America during late cretaceous.Carnotaurus is fast because it's muscled legs to chased prey,but it has small arm like T.rex.Carnotaurus named because of the horn,the horn are used for identified other canotaurus or attract females or intimidate rivals .

Crested hadrosaur

Parasaurolophus,means "Near crested lizard" is a genus of hadrosaur that lived during late cretaceous.Parasaur live with herd to avoid predator and can walk on four leg and run on two legs,even it can swim.Male parasaur crest is longer than female and young parasaurs doesn't have crest because they're still young.Scientist think the crest is used for underwater breathing or combat,but the crest is used for display and communication.parasaur defend itself by using it's loud sound.

Spitting dinosaur

Dilophosaurus, means "Two crested lizard" is the largest carnivorous dinosaur that live in North America during early Jurassic period. Dilophosaurus are nocturnal and live in families, sometimes the attack in group and probably use it long tail to whip and can run to 30 mph. In the "Jurassic Park" movie, dilophosaurus had frill on their neck and can spit venom to it's prey, the real dilophosaurus doesn't spit venom and had frill. Maybe dilophosaurus had frill, but there's no fossil proof because frill are cartilage and cartilage bones can destroyed easily when fossilised.

Velociraptor,meeans "Swift thief" is a genus of raptor that live in mongolia during late cretaceous period.the movie dinosaur is actually a deinonychus,because of the size,in real life the velociraptor is smaller and had feathers in it's body.The velociraptor live in pack like wolf and highly intelligent and communicating with other pack members.In the movie,It also know how to open a door and capable of setting traps.

Mosasaurus is a genus of a marine reptile that lived during late cretaceous in the sea.Mosasaurus means "Meuse lizard" because the fossil founded in meuse river in europe.The largest sepices of mosasaurus was up to 17 meters (56 feet).The mosasaurus had a bite force of 13K,one pound than T.rex and use it flippers to steer and has a second set of teeth in its upper palate that ensures prey sliding down its throat will not able to escape.It prey on sharks,turtles,fish,plesiosaur and even other mosasaurs.

Spinosaurus,means "Spiny lizard" is the largest carnivorous dinosaur that lived in egypt during early cretaceous period.This dinosaur can swim and used it sail to trapped heat or attract female.The first spinosaurus fossil is destroyed during world war 2.It was 6 meters (20 feet),with sail:7 meters 13,3 meters (43,8 feet) - 15 meters (50 feet) even larger than T.rex.this dinosaur eat fish,medium dinosaur and scavenged sauropod and marine reptile carcass.Don't forget this dinosaur is a territorial dinosaur.

Stegosaurus,means "Roofed lizard" is a genus of stegosaurid dinosaur that lived during late jurassic period.This dinosaur is the dumbest because it has a small brain that the size is like a kitten.It live in family group and herd.Stegosaurus tail are called thagomizer to defend itself from predator like allosaurus and the plates of stegosaurus are for trapping heat and give warning to other dinosaur.

Apatosaurus,means "Deceptive lizard" is a genus of a sauropods that lived during late Jurassic period.It was longer than two school buses and weighed as much as 4 adult male African elephants.Apatosaurus defend itself from a predator by using it tail that look like a whip.Most sauropods like apatosaurus eat small pebbles called gastroliths for help it's digestion.

Famous Pterodactyl

Pteranodon,means "toothless wing" is a genus of a pterosaur that lived during Creatceous period.There's a differences between female  and male pteranodon, the male had a long crest and a wingspan of 5 meters (16 feet) while the female had a short crest and a wingspan of 3 meters (10 feet).It maily eat fish and scavenged  remains of dead marine reptile.Pteranodon habitat is on  big rocks near the seashore.

Allosaurus,means "Different lizard" is a genus of a theropod dinosaur that lived 155-150 million years during late jurassic period.This dinosaur lives in pack to hunt big dinosaur like sauropods,but has a poor planning and the apex predator of the jurassic period.Allosaurus fossil has founded in many continent like North America,Europe and Australia.

King of the dinosaur

Tyrannosaurus rex or T.rex means "Tyrant Lizard king" is a large theropod lived in North America during late cretaceous period.It has a bite force almost 12.800 pounds and the largest of all tyrannosaurids.It was 4 meters (13 feet),12.5 meters (41 feet) and weight around 7 tons (14,000 lbs).This tyrant was an apex predator and most popular dinosaur in the media.

Indonesian favorite dinosaur

Ankylosaurus,means "Fused lizard" is a genus of armored dinosaur lived in western North America at Late cretaceous.Paleontologist called it "living tank" because of the armor of the dinosaur and had a tail club to defend from theropods like T.rex.

Gallimimus,means "Chicken mimic" is a genus of ornithomimid lives in Mongolia at late cretaceous period.This omnivorous dinosaur probably the fastest dinosaur with the spedd like the modern cheetah,it could probably run up at 60 mph.It was 2 meters (6,6 feet) at the hips and 8 meters (26 feet) and weight around 160-440 kg.

Baryonyx,means "Heavy claw" is a genus of a spinosaurid dinosaur that live in England at the early cretaceous period.It had a long,narrow snout filled with a cone shaped teeth like a crocodile.It primarily eat fish,but it also eat young dinosaurs.

Sinoceratops,means "Chinese Horned Face" is a genus of ceratopsian that lived in China during the Late Cretaceous, living about 72-66 million years ago.It is the first ceratopsian or Honed face dinosaur that discovered in China.This herbivorous dinosaur weight around 2,2-2,5 tons (1.995,8-2,313 kg).It revealed that young Sinoceratops eat meat to help with their growing skeletons.
