liopleurodon, means "Smooth-sided tooth" is a genus of large pliosaur that roamed in seas Europe during Jurassic period. It was an apex predator during the middle and late Jurassic. Studies of the skull have shown that it could probably scan the water with its nostrils to ascertain the source of certain smells.

Kentrosaurus, means "Pointed lizard" is the small member of stegosaur that lived in Africa during Jurassic period.It had 9 pairs of plates on its neck, shoulders, and back, and 5 pairs of long, sharp spikes above its hips and along its tail. Kentrosaurus also had a long spike on each of its hips.

Meganeura, means "Large nerve" is the largest dragonfly that lived in Germany during carboniferous period. Meganeura is likely to have hunted and fed in much the same way as dragonflies do today,‭ ‬although its larger size may suggest that many more creatures could have been on the menu for it. It was an apex predator, preying upon abundant ceratopsids and hadrosaurs.

Mamenchisaurus, means "Mamenchi lizard" is the longest sauropod that lived in China during jurassic period.It has a really long neck. In fact, it had the longest neck of any creature that ever lived. It was one of the first complete skeletons ever found. This allowed scientists who had never seen a complete dinosaur, to figure out what it would have looked like in life. In fact, the first time this common dinosaur was found as just a partial skeleton, scientists put its thumb spike on its nose!

Rajasaurus, means "King of lizard" is an abelisaurid that lived in India during cretaceous period.Paleontologists Paul Sereno of the University of Chicago, Jeff Wilson of the University of Michigan, and Srivastava worked together as an Indo–American group to study the Narmada River fossils. The fossils represented the partial skeleton of the new species Rajasaurus narmadensis, which means "princely lizard from the Narmada Valley." The fossilized bones of Rajasaurus have also been found in the upriver region of the Narmada, at Jabalpur, in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Its fossilized bones were discovered by Suresh Srivastava of the Geological Survey of India (GSI). Excavated from the Narmada River valley in Rahioli in the Kheda district of Gujarat, India, the find was announced as a new genus of dinosaur by American and Indian scientists on August 13, 2003.

Quetzalcoaltus, means "Feathered serpent" is the largest pterosaur that lived in North America during Late cretaceous period.When first discovered it was thought to have had a fifteen meter wingspan but further studies have reduced this estimate to eleven meters,‭ ‬although that‭’‬s still huge for a pterosaur.‭ ‬Another revision was the beak in that it has been learned that it terminated in a sharp point as opposed to the original blunt edge.  A more likely scenario accepted now is that Quetzalcoatlus had a lifestyle similar to that of a stork,‭ ‬perhaps stalking small prey items like lizards and mammals in vegetative growth on the ground,‭ ‬or sitting at the edges of streams and rivers snatching fish and amphibians as they swam by.‭ ‬Such feeding strategies would require very little energy expenditure,‭ ‬making it easier for Quetzalcoatlus to maintain the calorie intake to fuel its body.

Kronosaurus is one of the more famous fossil discoveries to come from Australia,‭ ‬and as a huge short-necked pliosaur,‭ ‬Kronosaurus would have been an apex predator of the waters it swam in.‭ ‬The teeth of Kronosaurus are conical and up to thirty centimetres long,‭ ‬although most of that was root with up to twelve centimetres making up the exposed crown.‭ ‬Interestingly the teeth of Kronosaurus are quite different to other pliosaurs in that they are not serrated and do not have three facets.‭ ‬The teeth may suggest that despite its large size Kronosaurus may have seized smaller to medium sized prey which could then be manipulated to be swallowed.

Majungasaurus, means "Majunga dome" is a genus of abelisaurid that related to Carnotaurus that lived in Madagascar during Late Cretaceous.It lived alongside the sauropod Rapetosaurus, which was its main prey, as well as smaller carnivores such Rahonavis and Masiakasaurus.There is also evidence for cannibalism in Majungasaurus, with bones showing bite marks that could only be made by other Majungasaurus.

Styracosaurus, means "Spiked lizard'' is a genus of ceratopsians that lived in North America during late cretaceous.Styracosaurus is one of the most well known of all ceratopsians, second only to its more famous relative, the Triceratops. Styracosaurus is part of the centrosaurine branch of ceratopsids, which are categorised by their nose-horn being larger than their brow horns. Styracosaurus also had common features found in all ceratopsians; a beaked mouth with powerful molars for grinding down plant matter and cheek pouches to store food for chewing. The most notable aspect of Styracosaurus is its impressive array of spikes across its frill.

Megalodon, means "Big tooth" is the largest prehistoric shark that roamed the prehistoric seas.Megalodon teeth is 18 centimeters in height and this mega predator eat fish and marine mammals.One of the most common myths most often told about C. megalodon is that it is only known from teeth.‭ ‬In reality the teeth are by far the most common fossils of C. megalodon,‭ ‬but a small and growing number of vertebras have also been recovered.‭ ‬In shark biology in general,‭ ‬the skeleton is always made up of‭ '‬soft‭' ‬cartilage,‭ ‬but the vertebrate are made up of harder calcified cartilage.‭ ‬This means that while the vertebra can and often do decompose,‭ ‬they can survive for longer increasing the chance of them getting fossilised.

Suchomimus, means "Crocodile mimic" is a genus of spinosaurid that lived in Egypt,Africa during early cretaceous period."It was a dinosaur trying hard to be a crocodile," says paleontologist Paul Sereno after he discovered a Suchomimus tenerensis during an expedition to Africa. It had a long snout filled with teeth that seem designed to catch fish. Long, powerful arms ended in three-fingered hands with huge claws, which would have been useful for holding on to large gar fish, which may have made up part of its diet. It probably would swim after fish or catch them on land similar to a grizzly bear and then kill it using its massive arms.Suchomimus lived 105 million years ago and this skeleton is the most complete in existence of any of the spinosaur family of dinosaurs.

Edmontosaurus, means "Lizard from Edmonton" is the largest hadrosaurs that lived in North America durig Late cretaceous period.Edmontosaurus is part of the Hadrosauridae, or duckbill family of dinosaurs, who are known for their amazing teeth - or as paleontologists call it, their "dental battery". On each side of the jaw are three rows of sixty or more perfectly interlocking teeth - that's 720 per mouth, compared to thirty-two in an adult human! Not only did Edmontosaurus have a lot of teeth, but when one fell out, another from inside its jaw would take its place! Teeth like these are called "evergrowing".This dinosaur is the first dinosaur that the fossil is mummified when it's discovered and revealing it's skin! Edmontosaurus could not outrun any of the meat-eaters and had to rely on outmaneuvering them - like a crafty football player - and traveling in large herds, where there was safety in numbers,plus it can swim becaused of the mummified fossil.

Dilophosaurus, means "Two crested lizard" is the largest carnivorous dinosaur that live in North America during early Jurassic period. Dilophosaurus are nocturnal and live in families, sometimes the attack in group and probably use it long tail to whip and can run to 30 mph. In the "Jurassic Park" movie, dilophosaurus had frill on their neck and can spit venom to it's prey, the real dilophosaurus doesn't spit venom and had frill. Maybe dilophosaurus had frill, but there's no fossil proof because frill are cartilage and cartilage bones can destroyed easily when fossilised.
